15 Février 1839
In 1839, hundreds of insurrectionists languish in prison months after the British army put down the Patriot uprising. Marie-Thomas Chevalier De Lorimier and Charles Hindelang are informed that, along with three other comrades, they will be executed by hanging the next day on February 14. The condemned spend time with friends and loved ones, confer with them, and entrust them with their last wills while they wait for their appointed time of death. The five Patriots muster the resolve to approach the scaffold with dignity at daybreak, knowing that they will die for a just cause. www.tribute.ca
