A young man whose only possession is a motorcycle spends his time scouring the city on his bike in the hopes of finding unoccupied apartments. After he has located one, he will hang out there for a while, preparing something for himself to eat, doing his laundry, or making some minor repairs in exchange. He makes it a habit of leaving the premises before the owners return, but at one seemingly deserted mansion, he befriends the battered wife of a wealthy man, and the two of them flee together.
