A Fortunate Man
Per leaves Jutland and his rigid religious upbringing in search of happiness. He flees his family and his father and sails to Copenhagen to study engineering. Parallel to his studies, he works on a futuristic wind and wave energy project that professors think is ridiculous and overconfident. Per's project succeeds and he marries the gorgeous Jakobe from an affluent Jewish family. Per's happiness is now made. But Per’s childhood keeps haunting him and his dogmatic family cannot accept his new life. Despite his success, Per is unable to totally escape his rigid religious upbringing, and he thinks he will follow in his father's patriarchal footsteps.
