A Haunting in Cawdor

Vivian Miller (Young) is a young lady in her twenties serving out her jail sentence at a work release program in the Midwest in this suspenseful tale of psychological anguish. Her 90-day probationary period sends her to Lawrence O'Neil's decaying summer stock theater, The Cawdor (Elwes). Lawrence, a failed Broadway director, is now relegated to directing amateur performances with young parolees and lamenting his past transgressions. Vivian's entrance in Cawdor sets in motion a horrific chain of events that reintroduces Lawrence to his secret history. Vivian's viewing of an old filmed stage rendition of Macbeth unleashes a force of evil that quickly turns its attention to her. Vivian enlists the assistance of Roddy (Welch), a local pariah, in an attempt to ascertain the identity of the supernatural killer on the recording before becoming the next victim.
