A Letter to Three Wives

Lora May Hollingsway, who grew up on the wrong side of the tracks, married her employer, who thinks she is just a gold digger, despite the fact that she is anything but. Rita Phipps earns the same amount of money as her husband, a school teacher, by writing radio plays in the evenings. Deborah Bishop looked fantastic in a Navy uniform during World War II, but she believes she will never be able to dress appropriately for the Country Club elite. This group of three wives is about to board a boat full with children on their way to a picnic when a courier on a bicycle approaches them and offers them a letter addressed to all three from Addie, who has just left town with one of their husbands. They won't find out which one it is until that same evening.
