Armadillo

The film ARMADILLO is an honest portrayal of the developing cynicism and addiction to adrenaline among young soldiers serving in battle. In Helmand, Afghanistan, Mads and Daniel are off on their very first operation together. Their platoon is currently facing fierce engagements against the Taliban while stationed in Camp Armadillo, which is located directly on the frontline in Helmand. The soldiers are in Afghanistan to provide assistance to the Afghan people; nevertheless, as the combat becomes more difficult and operations get more dangerous, Mads, Daniel, and their friends become cynical, which creates a greater divide between them and the Afghan civilization. It didn't take long for suspicion and paranoia to set in, which led to estrangement and disappointment. Armadillo is a voyage into the psyche of a soldier and a one-of-a-kind film about the legendary story of man and war, staged in its contemporary incarnation in Afghanistan. Both of these elements combine to make Armadillo an exceptional film.
