In the beautiful high Pyrenees in the south-west of France, Damien lives with his mother, Marianne, who is a doctor. His father, who is a pilot for the French military, is on a tour of duty abroad. Thomas, who lives in a mountain farming community, picks on Damien at school, but Damien learns how to fight back. When Thomas's mother gets sick and has to go to the hospital, Marianne invites him to stay with them. This means that the boys have to live together. Damien has to figure out how to get along with the boy who scared him.
