Beyond a Reasonable Doubt
A paper publisher, wanting to verify a point about the insufficiency of inconclusive evidence, talks his possible son-in-law Tom right into a hoax in an attempt to subject clumsiness of the city's hard-line district attorney. The strategy is to have Tom plant clues bring about his apprehension for eliminating a women club dancer. When Tom is found guilty, he is to disclose the arrangement as well as humiliate the DA.
