Canopy

When the Japanese invaded Singapore in World War II, an Australian soldier sought cover under the city's canopied jungles, and the odd relationship between two young men became everything. A Singapore-Chinese resistance fighter named Seng escapes from the jungle and is put into the company of Jim, who is injured and helpless in a hostile tropical world. Jim is being pursued by Japanese troops.
