HONDROS chronicles the life and career of renowned war photographer Chris Hondros, delving into the tragic and frequently shocking tales behind his most well-known photographs. Chris was one of the first in a new generation of war photographers since Vietnam, motivated by a mission to give witness to the battles of our time following the events of 9/11. HONDROS delves into the complications of resolving more than a decade of conflict while attempting to live a regular life. Additionally, it investigates the unfathomable calculus involved in making split-second life-or-death decisions –prior to, during, and following his photographs. Chris was assassinated in Libya in2011, yet he left an indelible mark on his career that continues to this day.
