Lullaby of Broadway
Pretty Melinda Howard has been singing internationally. She intends to surprise her mother, who she thinks is a Broadway star with a mansion in Manhattan. Her mother is a burnt-out cabaret performer who loves whiskey. Two servants who are friends of her mother take her in when she arrives. The house belongs to Adolph Hubbell, a kind-hearted Broadway producer. Melinda charms Hubbell, who casts her in his next production. Melinda falls for a hoofer in the play. All is fine for Melinda except she wants to meet her mother, who keeps delaying.
