Mayor
Musa Hadid is the wry, level-headed mayor of Ramallah, a traditionally Christian city that has come to be the de facto capital of Palestine. Set during the Xmas season, Mayor observes Hadid, electronic cigarette in hand, as he traverses Ramallah to meet components as well as manage the quotidian situations dealing with the city, all the while pursuing a day when his country will certainly be truly complimentary. Director David Osit's individual cam exposes moments of ridiculous humor, lyricism, and even white-knuckle stress, all while enabling the less newsworthy facets of fascism to be felt in enduring, organic ways.
