Oscar and Lucinda

Oscar Hopkins becomes an Anglican pastor and has a divine fixation with gambling after being abused by his evangelistic father as a boy. Lucinda Leplastrier, a wealthy Australian heiress, is in London hunting for materials for her newly acquired glass business. Oscar meets Lucinda aboard ship after deciding to become a missionary in Australia, and they develop a mutual fascination. They make a bet that will change the course of their lives.
