Painted Woman
The story of Julie Richards is adapted from the novel "Mustanger and the Lady" by Dusty Richards, who is a renowned western novelist. Having been transferred from hand to hand in a web of cruelty and prostitution, Julie has ended up at the feet of Kyle Allison. Taking little Julie into his home, Allison, a wealthy businessman from the historic west town of Goldfield, transformed her into his prized possession. This life came with the benefit of being looked after, but at the expense of additional abuse. As Julie's time with Allison draws to a perilous close, she is given two opportunities to flee, each with a very different man... The plot of PAINTED WOMAN is divided into two distinct chapters of Julie's life, with each part mirroring the other. The first chapter follows Julie's meeting with Frank. It is primarily told in the town of Goldfield at night. The Mustanger is the subject of Chapter Two. It takes place in the forest and is narrated primarily during the daytime hours of daylight.
