Primal

Anja and five of her friends accompany Dace, a student of anthropology, on a trek to investigate a remote, old rock art. Mel becomes delirious after going skinny-dipping in the waterhole, and their excitement quickly fades away. She physically and mentally regresses to a nasty predatory state while she is feverish, bleeding, and bewildered. Mel has reverted to her primitive state. Mel's partner and friends come to the realization that they are the prey as she violently hunts for them. Just as they are about to leave, one of them begins to regress, forcing them to make a horrific choice: either kill their friends or be killed by them. Their only means of escape is through a tunnel, where Anja discovers, far too late, the significance of the ancient rock art that they had come to investigate.
