Sugar

Adheres to the story of Miguel Santos, a. k. a. Sugar (Algenis Perez Soto), a Dominican pitcher from San Pedro de Macorís, struggling to make it to the big leagues and draw himself and his family members out of poverty. Playing expertly at a baseball academy in the Dominican Republic, Miguel lastly gets his break at age 19 when he breakthroughs to the USA' minors system; yet when his use the mound fails, he starts to examine the one-track mind of his life's passion.
