The Appaloosa
A man makes an effort to regain possession of a horse that was taken from him by a Mexican bandit. Marlon Brando, Anjanette Comer, and John Saxon star in the 1966 American Western film Technicolor The Appaloosa, which was also released under the title Southwest to Sonora. The film was produced by Universal Pictures and takes place in the 1870s. John Saxon was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of a Mexican bandit. The director of the movie was Sidney J. Furie, and it was shot in Mexico. Despite the fact that it has almost the same title, the film Appaloosa from2008, which stars Ed Harris and Viggo Mortensen, is neither related to this film nor a remake of it.
