The Great Man's Lady

Hannah Sempler Hoyt is 100 years old and lives in the last house with skyscrapers in Hoyt City. Finally, a "girl biographer" gets her to tell her story. When Hannah was a teenager in 1848, she met and fell in love with Ethan, a pioneer. On a whim, the two eloped. Our story is about how they tried to build a city in the wilderness, but the Gold Rush, star-crossed love and danger made it difficult. An 80-year-old star looks old.
