The Joke Thief

This is the story of one man's final hurrah, and the Joke Thief tells it. Simon McCabe has been performing stand-up comedy for 35 years. He's always been the life of the party, but now he's worn out, depressed, and on the verge of giving up because he's never gotten a break owing to his reputation for stealing jokes. The owner of a comedy club is convinced by a longtime friend and fellow comedian to give Simon a chance to redeem himself one last time. This is Simon's way of preparing for his show by taking us back in time to remember the significant experiences in his life that have shaped him into the melancholy, witty man he is today.
