The Whisperer in Darkness
It is brought to life in the style of great horror films from the 1930s such as Frankenstein, Dracula, and King Kong, as well as H.P. Lovecraft's legendary genre-bending tale of suspense and extraterrestrial terrors, which was written in 1931. The H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society uses its MythoscopeTM process, which is a combination of antique and current techniques, to expand on Lovecraft's original tale while maintaining an unmatched level of accuracy. It is the adventure of Albert Wilmarth, a folklore professor at Miskatonic University, who embarks on an investigation into traditions of bizarre monsters supposed to dwell in the most isolated mountains of Vermont that brings horror and science fiction together. When Wilmarth's inquiry leads him to a revelation of horrors that are far beyond anything he could have imagined, he is forced to make a frantic attempt to flee the isolated New England highlands while still alive and in his right mind.
