The White Sun of the Desert
For several years, Fyodor Sukhov, a Red Army trooper, fought the Civil War in Russian Asia on the east coast of the Caspian Sea (now Turkmenistan). Then he returns home to join his wife, only to be caught up in a desert battle between Red Army cavalry and Basmachi terrorists. Rahimov, the cavalry unit commander, "convinces" Sukhov to assist defend abandoned Basmachi guerilla leader Abdullah's harem women. Rahimov and his cavalry troop pursued Abdullah, leaving a young Red Army man, Petrukha, to aid Sukhov. Sukhov and Abdullah's harem women return to a nearby beach town. Abdullah and his gang arrive in town seeking for a border crossing...
