Ugetsu

In 16th-century Japan, farmers Genjuro and Tobei sell their earthenware pots to a group of soldiers in a nearby village, even though a local sage told them not to try to make money from war. Genjuro's desire for money and the mysterious Lady Wakasa, as well as Tobei's desire to become a samurai, put them and their wives, Miyagi and Ohama, in danger.
