Uptown Saturday Night

As Steve and Wardell, Sidney Poitier and Bill Cosby play two best friends who go out to a swanky nightclub in New York City. In a bad way, thieves break into the club and steal Steve's wallet, which happens to have a winning lottery ticket in it. As well as directing, Poitier also wrote and starred in this classic 1970s comedy, which stars Harry Belafonte as Godfather figure Geechie Dan Beauford and Richard Pryor.
