Winged Migration
Jacques Perrin's cameras fly alongside migrating birds such as geese, storks, and cranes. The film begins with spring in North America and the Arctic migration; each species' flight is a community event. Once in the Arctic, it's family time: courtship, nest construction, egg production, fledgling development, and first flight. Chicks must quickly migrate south. The effects of inclement weather, hunters, and pollutants are cumulative. The cameras are then removed.
