30 Minute Meals
Rachael Ray is the host of the show 30 Minute Meals, which airs on the Food Network. In the fall of 2001, she made her debut on Food Network with the first of her four episodes. The show focuses on quick and easy recipes that are suitable for people who don't have much time to spend in the kitchen. The show is recorded live to tape, and Ray does practically all of his preparation as the show is being broadcast. In 2006, the program was recognized with an Emmy for being the Best Daytime Service Show. The production of innovative takes on well-known meals, some of which need an extended period of time to cook in the traditional manner, is a recurrent theme on the show. Ray is committed to preparing meals that can be prepared in less than half an hour. Ray has also produced two specials with the title Thanksgiving in 60, which are centered on the concept of a Thanksgiving dinner that can be prepared in one hour. Every week, at the beginning of the show, Ray will state "I'm Rachael Ray, and I make dishes that can be prepared in thirty minutes or less. Now, what this indicates is that by the time you have finished watching this program, I will have prepared an appetizing and nutritious supper from scratch."
