Apparitions
In the BBC drama Apparitions, Martin Shaw plays Father Jacob Myers, a Roman Catholic priest who looks for proof of miracles that can be used to make someone a saint and also does exorcisms. Jacob learns that his job is more than just sending demons back to Hell. Later, he has to stop them all from getting away. Apparitions is more religiously accurate and based on facts than most fictional stories about exorcism and spirit possession. It shows how the Church describes demon possession. It also talks about historical events that are important to Christianity and other Abrahamic religions. Some of these events may have been caused by Heaven or Hell, which suggests that the War the Bible talks about may not be over. Joe Ahearne writes the books in the series.
