Brass Eye
Brass Eye is a British television satirical news magazine programme. Six episodes broadcast on Channel 4 in 1997, followed by another in 2001. Chris Morris conceived the series, which was co-written by Morris, David Quantick, Peter Baynham, Jane Bussmann, Arthur Mathews, and Graham Linehan. Michael Cumming directed the series. It was a follow-up to Morris' previous parody news shows On the Hour and The Day Today. It satirized the media's presentation of social ills, particularly sensationalism and the instilling of moral panic. Morris co-stars Doon MacKichan and Gina McKee, as well as Mark Heap, Simon Pegg, Julia Davis, and Kevin Eldon from The Day Today.
