Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior
Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior was an American police procedural drama that aired on CBS for a brief amount of time before being canceled. As a spin-off from the critically acclaimed series Criminal Minds, which had originally aired in 2005, this show made its debut in 2011. The team that created the profiles for this edition has previous experience working for the Behavioral Analysis Unit of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Quantico, Virginia. During the fifth season of Criminal Minds, there was an episode that aired in April 2010 in which the original team met the new team and collaborated with them to discover a serial killer who was operating in San Francisco. This episode acted as the pilot for the new series that was introduced through a backdoor pilot. The underlying rights to broadcast the show in North America belonged to CBS, while ABC held ownership of the rights to broadcast the show internationally. The first episode of the series aired on February 16, 2011, and it took over the Wednesday evening 10 o'clock time slot that had previously been occupied by the original Criminal Minds. On May17,2011, CBS canceled the series. The conclusion of the series leaves the audience hanging. The full series was made available on CBS DVD for the first time on September 6, 2011, in a box set consisting of four discs. It comes in a container labeled "The DVD Edition." In addition to a plethora of bonus features, there are also two episode commentaries from members of the cast and crew. This collection features the "backdoor pilot" episode from the fifth season of the original show.
