Crossroads
The British soap drama Crossroads is set at a motel in Birmingham. The commercial ITV network first aired the series between 1964 and 1988. Produced by ATV and then Central, it became a byword for cheap production values in the 1970s and early 1980s. Carlton Television renewed the show in 2001, however it was terminated in 2003. Tony Hatch created the theme, which Paul McCartney & Wings recorded on Venus and Mars in 1975. In 1987, when Crossroads, Kings Oak was reintroduced, Raf Ravenscroft and Max Early produced a new rendition.
