Edwardian Farm
Edwardian Farm is a twelve-part historical documentary TV series that first aired from November 2010 to January 2011 on BBC Two. It shows a group of historians trying to run a farm like it was done during the Edwardian era. It was made by an independent company called Lion Television for the BBC, and it was filmed at Morwellham Quay, a historic quay in Devon. Ruth Goodman, who is a historian, and Alex Langlands and Peter Ginn, who are both archaeologists, made up the farming team. David Upshal created and produced the show, and Stuart Elliott was in charge of its direction. The show is a continuation of two popular BBC Two shows from 2009 and 2010 called Victorian Farm and Victorian Pharmacy, which each had up to 3.8 million viewers per episode. In September2012, another show called Wartime Farm came out. It was about the same group of people, but this time they lived as farmers during World War II for a whole year on a farm in Hampshire called Manor Farm. BBC Books put out a book by Goodman, Langlands, and Ginn in 2010 that was also called Edwardian Farm. The series was also released on DVD, with different versions for different regions.
