Ghost Hunt
It was originally known as the Akuryo Series by Fuyumi Ono, who wrote the light novel series. The Shibuya Psychic Research Center, along with a team of other spiritualists and bright assistants, investigates unusual happenings all around Japan. Unfinished until 1994, even though it was in print at that point. Even though Fuyumi Ono's statement that she was resuming work on a "girls' horror story" that she had begun long ago has never been officially acknowledged to be in reference to Ghost Hunt, speculation over the series' future grew as a result of her interview. On Akury Series, a radio play was created from the novels in 1997. It began serialization in the July7, 1998 edition of Nakayoshi, where it is still ongoing, with a manga adaptation written and illustrated by Shiho Inada. Kodansha has produced eleven tankobon volumes including the separate chapters of the book. As Ghost Hunt in North America, and Tanoshimi in the UK, it has been licensed for English-language distribution in North America and the United Kingdom. J.C.Staff made an anime adaptation of the manga and premiered on October3,2006, on TV Tokyo, where it aired for twenty-five episodes until its end. Region 1 DVDs of Ghost Hunt have been licensed for English release by Funimation Entertainment, which also goes by the moniker Ghost Hunt.
