Hinako Note
Hinako "Hina" Sakuragi, who was born and bred in Japan's countryside, is easily agitated when she meets new people, to the point where she resembles a rigid scarecrow. Hina aspires to overcome this by becoming active in theater, since she was inspired by a play she witnessed on a school field trip. As a result, Hina relocates to Hitotose Manor in Tokyo to attend Fujiyama High School, where she hopes to join the school's famed drama club. Hina is disappointed to find, however, that Fujiyama High's theatre group has been on hiatus for a long time. Hina is unsure what to do now that she has arrived in Tokyo and enrolled in the school. Chiaki Hagino, the landlady of Hitotose Manor, recognizes Hina's disappointment and desire to learn theatre and pushes her to form a group made up of Hitotose Manor inhabitants. Hinako Note follows Hina as she adjusts to her new life in Tokyo, attending Fujiyama High School and learning the ropes of theatre with the help of her pals.
