It Takes a Thief
Two and half seasons of the American action-adventure television series It Takes a Thief ran from January 9, 1968, to March 24, 1970, on ABC. It starred renowned movie actor Robert Wagner in his television debut as skilled burglar Alexander Mundy, who works for the US government in exchange for his release from prison. Malachi Throne played Mundy's boss, Noah Bain, throughout the whole of the series. After several seasons, it was cancelled and replaced with Mission: Impossible (which lasted for several more years). This film's title is derived from an English proverb: "It takes more than one thief to catch a thief." The Alfred Hitchcock film To Catch a Thief, starring Cary Grant, was the inspiration for this film's title.
