Jam
Jam is a Channel 4 postmodern British dark comedy series developed, written, and directed by Chris Morris that aired in March and April 2000. It was inspired on the older BBC Radio 1 show Blue Jam and included a sequence of frightening sketches that unfolded over an ambient music. Many of the sketches reused the original radio soundtracks, with the actors lip-syncing their lines, an unusual practice that contributed to the eerie mood of the show. Amelia Bullmore, David Cann, Julia Davis, Kevin Eldon, and Mark Heap were among the cast members, who had previously worked with Morris on shows such as The Day Today and Brass Eye, as well as Morris himself. Chris Morris and Peter Baynham wrote it, with contributions from Jane Bussmann, David Quantick, Graham Linehan, Arthur Mathews, and the cast.
