Kath & Kim
Kath & Kim is an American version of the Australian comedy show of the same name that starred Selma Blair and Molly Shannon. The show premiered on NBC on October 9, 2008. The Australian version was made by the original stars, Jane Turner and Gina Riley, who also serve as executive producers and consultants for this version, which is made by Reveille Productions and Universal Media Studios. Its first episode aired in Australia on Sunday, October 12 on the Seven Network. After the second episode aired the next week, the show was taken off the air in Australia. The show was then moved to a bad time slot on Mondays at 11 p.m., and after the ninth episode, "Friends," aired for the first time, it was taken off the air for the 2009 Australian Open. Kath & Kim got average ratings and mixed reviews from critics at first, but on October 31, 2008, NBC ordered 22 episodes for a full season. On January 15, 2009, NBC cut the order of episodes from 22 to 17. The show's season finale was on March 12, 2009. On May 19, 2009, NBC confirmed that the series was ending.
