Merlin
Merlin is a television miniseries that first broadcast in 1998 and tells the King Arthur narrative through the eyes of the wizard Merlin. In a drama that spans not just the rise and fall of Camelot, but also a period in Britain's mythical history that precedes it, Sam Neill plays the title role. The film differs from traditional versions of the legend by adding Queen Mab and keeping Merlin throughout King Arthur's reign. In 2006, a sequel, Merlin's Apprentice, was released, which was only tangentially related to classic Arthurian legend.
