Moonlighting
Moonlighting is an American television show that aired on ABC from March 3, 1985, to May 14, 1989. The network showed a total of 66 episodes. The show was about two private detectives, played by Bruce Willis and Cybill Shepherd. It was a mix of drama, comedy, and romance, and it was thought to be one of the first successful and influential examples of comedy-drama, or "dramedy," as a distinct television genre. Al Jarreau, a jazz singer, sang the show's theme song, which became a big hit. People also say that the show made Willis a star and gave Shepherd a critical success after a string of bad movies. In1997, "The Dream Sequence Always Rings Twice" was ranked #34 on TV Guide's list of the 100 best episodes ever. Time magazine named the show one of the "100 Best TV Shows of All Time" in 2007. TV Guide made a list of the best TV couples of all time, and David and Maddie were on it.
