Mrs Brown's Boys
Mrs. Brown's Boys is a British-Irish award-winning sitcom developed and starring Brendan O'Carroll. The show is based on O'Carroll's theater plays about Agnes Browne, which were adapted into novels and direct-to-DVD films. The sitcom continues the story of Agnes, who now goes by the surname "Brown," and her family, who are played by O'Carroll's real-life close friends and relatives. After receiving criticism from critics, the show has gone on to become a ratings hit in both Ireland, where it is set, and the United Kingdom, where it is recorded. The third season of the show premiered on December 29, 2012. Mrs Brown's Boys is a collaboration between BBC Scotland, BocPix, and RTÉ.
