Peep show
Peek Show is a British sitcom that was nominated for a Bafta and an Emmy Award. The show's writers are Jesse Armstrong and Sam Bain, with contributions from Mitchell and Webb as well. Originally airing in 2003, it has been carried by Channel 4. The eighth season of the show makes it the longest-running Channel 4 comedy ever. The show employs point of view views with voiceovers of Mark and Jeremy's inner monologues. Peek Show centers on two young men in their 20s and 30s, one of them, Mark Corrigan, is employed the majority of the time and the other, Jeremy "Jez" Usbourne, a jobless musical aspirant. They met at the fictional Dartmouth University and now live together in Croydon, South London. After working as a waiter and a bathroom supplies salesperson, Mark eventually ends up as a loan manager at the fictional JLB Credit. He is well-off materially, but socially awkward and jaded in outlook. Prior to the first episode, Jeremy and Big Suze broke up, and he now lives with Mark in his spare room. Most of the time, his optimism and vigor are far more prominent than Mark's. His self-proclaimed musical talent has yet to be recognized, and his popularity and attractiveness aren't as high as he would like them to be.
