Robinson Ekspeditionen
The successful reality television show Robinson Ekspeditionen was first shown in Denmark in the year 1998. TV3 made the acquisition of the broadcast rights necessary to screen their very own version of Expedition Robinson in the spring of 1998. Denmark was the first country in the world to produce their own version of the show after seeing how successful the Swedish adaptation was. Since it first aired in 1998, the show has consistently shown strong performance in the ratings. The name is a reference to both Robinson Crusoe and The Swiss Family Robinson, which are both fictional accounts of people who are sent adrift when their ships sink.
