Route 66
Route 66 is an American television series about two young men who drive across America in a Chevrolet Corvette sports car. From October 7, 1960 until March 20, 1964, the show aired regularly on Fridays on CBS. It starred Martin Milner as Tod Stiles and George Maharis as Buz Murdock for the first two and a half seasons. Tod was depicted traveling alone while Maharis was ill for much of the third season. Tod met Lincoln Case (Glenn Corbett) late in the third season and stayed with him until the end of the fourth and final season. The show is now broadcast on Me-TV, My Family TV, and RTV. The featured Corvette convertible and the program's instrumental theme music, which became a major pop hit, were two of the series' more memorable components.
