Science of Stupid
This show blends cold, hard science with some of the weirdest, most spectacular, and most horrific user-generated clips ever recorded in the history of the medium. Richard Hammond presents a wide variety of embarrassing incidents that involve courageous but ill-informed people from different parts of the world. He then explains the scientific principles that led to the individuals' failure and humiliation through the use of bespoke animations and super slo-mo filming. Every episode includes between fifty and sixty footage of misadventure, which are examples of everyday people engaging in exceptional behaviors that lead to hilarious consequences. Watch, pause, rewind, and replay failed stunts involving weightlifting, shooting weapons, or jumping over automobiles each week, then dissect them to figure out exactly what went wrong and why it happened. After explaining the physics, chemistry, and biology at play, Richard gives forensic facts to demonstrate the idiocy that ultimately led to the failure of the experiment. He will consider everything, including mass, volume, momentum, combustion, and even the workings of the brain, among other things. This is an explanation of how the unfortunate situation came about. This is what the Science of Ignorance looks like.
