Search
From September 1972 to August 1973, Search was an American science fiction programme that broadcast on NBC at 10 p.m. ET on Wednesday nights. It lasted 23 episodes, not including the two-hour pilot feature, Probe. Because Probe was the name of an existing PBS series when it was selected up for series production, the title had to be altered. The series was shown on BBC 1 in the United Kingdom under the title Search Control. Leslie Stevens, Robert Justman, John Strong, and Tony Spinner developed and produced the show. The lofty idea was defined as "science fiction in today's world," and the episodes included a lot of high-tech aspects that are usual in modern science fiction shows.
