Second Thoughts
The British comedy show Second Thoughts ran from May 3, 1991, to October 14, 1994. It was made by LWT and aired on ITV. Faith in the future was the next book after it. In the book "Second Thoughts," two middle-aged divorcees from very different backgrounds, Bill MacGregor and Faith Greyshott, tried to get back together despite the pressures that were pulling them apart. Second Thoughts was based on the marriage of Jan Etherington and Gavin Petrie, who wrote the book together. It was first heard as a radio show on BBC Radio 4 from November1,1988, to July23, 1992. The radio show had 31 episodes, which were spread out over four seasons and a Christmas special in 1992. ITV made a TV show based on the scripts from the radio shows. People thought that the fifth series wasn't as good as the first four. It was also the only one that wasn't based on the original radio scripts. The last episode of Second Thoughts aired on October14,1994. It has since been shown again on ITV3. BBC7 often shows the original radio series over and over again.
