Soap

Soap was a 1977-1981 ABC sitcom. The show was a weekly half-hour satire of daytime soap operas. The serialized show's plot involved alien abduction, demonic possession, murder, and kidnapping. The Tates and the Campbells scored 17th on TV Guide's list of "TV's Top Families" in 2010. Paul Junger Witt and Tony Thomas also executive produced the show with Susan Harris. Each season began with a 90-minute look back. 1994 saw the release of two VHS retrospectives. Four seasons contained 85 episodes. ABC aired the final four episodes as one-hour episodes. These hour-long episodes were broken into 93 half-hour segments for syndication. All episodes are in four region 1 DVD box sets. The series has aired on local syndicated stations, Comedy Central, and TV Land. Antenna TV aired it until December30, 2012.
