The CAT
T.H.E. Cat is an American action drama that ran on NBC in 1966 and 1967. It was sponsored by R.J. Reynolds and Lever Brothers. The series was made by Harry Julian Fink, who also made Dirty Harry. Robert Loggia played the title character, Thomas Hewitt Edward Cat. T.H.E. Cat was a forerunner of TV characters like The Equalizer, who skirt the law and use skills from past jobs to help people who need more help than the police can give. The show came before the 1968-1970 ABC show It Takes a Thief, which was also about a cat burglar who used his skills for good.
