The Highwayman

The Highwayman is a Sam J. Jones-led American action-adventure television series set in the "near future." It was the creation of Glen A. Larson and Douglas Heyes. The pilot aired in September1987, and was followed by a short-lived series of nine episodes that ran from March to May1988, with significant cast and format changes. Many critics described it as a blend between Mad Max and Knight Rider. William Conrad's opening narration:
