The Millionaire
The Millionaire was a CBS anthology series that aired from January 19, 1955, to June 8, 1960, and was sponsored by Colgate-Palmolive at the time. The series, which aired for five seasons during the Golden Age of Television, explored how sudden and unexpected fortune impacted people's lives for the better or for the worse. With one exception, it detailed the stories of persons who were handed one million dollars by a donor who stipulated they never meet him. The Millionaire and If You Had a Million were the two titles used in syndication for the show.
