12 Angry Men
Because of their own biases and prejudices, a lone juror challenges the guilty decision of a man accused of murdering his father. Both the 1957 feature picture adaptation (directed by Sidney Lumet) and the Westinghouse One television production that came before it (also by Reginald Rose) were used as inspiration for the film's screenplay. Righteous jury Jack Lemmon was denied the Best Actor prize, but winner Ving Rhames (for Don King) dedicated his trophy to Lemmon. George C. Scott received a Golden Globe for his supporting part.
