A one-bedroom apartment at Asilo Del Mar Apartments in Los Angeles makes Sarah think she's struck gold. Lots of open space, nice neighbors, and even a cute next-door neighbor. It appears that nothing is quite as it seems: strange noises start keeping her awake at night, her cat goes missing, and everyone save the strange Lester seems a little too kind and pleasant. Sarah soon discovers that she was not the one who chose this flat; it had chosen her.
